UPDATE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 3/16/2020
To all of our members and supporters:
In response to the growing concern surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the ETHJA Board of directors has received many questions about scheduled horse shows. After much deliberation, ETHJA has decided to allow individual managers to either host or postpone their horse show without penalty. ETHJA shows that choose to hold their scheduled shows will receive sanctioning and year end points, as usual. If individual managers choose to postpone their shows, ETHJA will assist in deseninating that information by posting the details on ETHJA's website and Facebook page. It is strongly recommend that show managers institute proactive, preventative measures at their horse shows along CDC guidelines. These practices should include ample hand-washing stations and available hand sanitizer. The ETHJA board will discuss and reevaluate the COVID-19 situation in 2 weeks. Any changes in policy that prudence dictates before that time frame will be communicated to members via email, Facebook, and our website. We are looking forward to a great show season while also being committed to remaining proactive in our decisions and mindful of the bigger picture in order to help prevent the spread of this virus.
